A longitudinal whole-network study of 43 STEM faculty found that interactions expanded across nine institutions and three disciplines over seven survey waves, while members in formal leadership roles were especially likely to connect otherwise separated groups.

A mixed-method study combined survey-based social-network indicators from 454 rural Chinese high school students with interviews from 28 students. Centrality and network density correlated with self-efficacy, while centrality and network size had smaller associations with life satisfaction.

Twenty-five graduate students in a convergent research center and 28 comparison students across the same universities and programs reported who they knew before and after one year. The center network became denser, while modularity and assortativity by status, affiliation, and institution declined.

Educational leaders as knowledge brokers for school-based mental health

Thirty-one of 37 eligible leaders in one British Columbia district reported five mental-health relations, and five leaders were interviewed. The multiplex network was sparse and fragmented; an assistant superintendent and coordinator were prominent brokers, while principals had comparatively limited reach.
